Capt. Ryan Young 06-14-2010 10:40:38 AM CST Chillin out in Salvador
Made a trip to my backyard, Lake Salvador to spend a relaxing day with the Wife. Brought the spear gun in hopes of some big flatheads in the stumps but all holes were dry. Plenty sheephead to shoot at with lots of bass and bream to watch at play. Wife was sunbathing with her eyes closed while she was supposed to be watching for gators, LOL! Looking forward to next trip which will be no playing around, gonna cruise the whole lake with some hard core buddies... Should be a good trip!
Good Luck Fishin'!

Capt. Anthony 06-14-2010 10:38:19 AM CST Posted for Capt. Anthony....
I left on vacation last week with the trout bite on fire. Spoke to Capt. Ryan and he was keeping them warm all week when the winds would allow the long boat runs to get to open fishing waters. So last night the weather held out and we headed out to the honey hole. Put 35 nice trout on ice before dark and the action died as it does right at sunset. About 10pm it sounded like popcorn popping..baby. Hungry trout eating anything that swam in their paths. Everyone in the boat hooked up with doubles. The trout were all so fat and full of pogies. I mean the boat was covered in pogies that were being spit up from the greedy trout. Glow with a chartreuse tail Bayou Chub was all they wanted. Ended early with 100 beautiful trout. Had lots of solid 3 pound beauties. So glad that Capt. Ryan Young, Capt. Rob Chauvin and friend Joe aka DJ Dr. Seuss of 92.3 could join in on the action.
Call to come get you some....
Capt. Ryan Young 06-14-2010 10:33:11 AM CST Great Day Down in Dularge 5-17-10
Today I had the pleasure to fish with Zack Lissard, Steve Fairaizl, Mike McMillan and his brother Daniel McMillian. With all the talk about what's closed, what's open, he said, she said... we decided to stay inside and stay clear from all the drama. Turned out to be a great move as we caught an assortment of fish. Jacks, Reds, Flounder, Trout, Gafttops, you name it.... All fish caught sight fishing wich made for an exciting day. Got word today that our trout fishing is back open and free from oil, soo now is a good time to get in on some of the action before who knows what will happen next! Thanks again guys for a the great company, and a great day of fishing. Good Luck Fishin'!

Big thanks to good friend Daniel Lebouf for sending us in the right direction. Even though we never found, we still managed to catch a nice mess of fish. Another great day spent with great company. Capt. Ryan Young 06-14-2010 10:29:43 AM CST Mother's Day Slam 5-9-10
Took Mom and Dad out from the camp to do a little fishing before the work started.. One stop is all it took as the reds and flounder could not resisit our glow and chartruese sand eals. Back to the camp in no time to get the net ready for shrimp season, if we have any due to the oil spill. Looks like most of our fishing will be Inside after reds and flounder for now, as most of our summer trout spots have been closed. Another great day spent with Mom and Dad! Good Luck Fishin'!

All fish caught on black and chartruese bayou chubs with 1/4 ounce chartruese lead head. Another great day spent with great company. Thanks again for the great company and good luck fishing.

Joining me today were Jerry Hendricks, his wife Katina, and there three kids, Dylan, Cullin, and Sierra. We fished hard with not much luck in a few spots I have been catching some trout and reds. Started the morning with a great gnat bite, which made it hard to fish. Once the wind picked up, we were very releaved from the gnats, but the bite quit. All fish caught on baby -1 crank baits. Another great day spent with great company. Good Luck Fishin'!

Capt. Ryan Young 06-14-2010 10:06:01 AM CST Extreme Bass Slam 3-20-10
Joining me today were Daniel LeBeouf and his good friend Kyle Webre. After the trip yesterday, we had no problem getting on the fish. Double and tripple hook ups most of the day made for one extreme fishing tirp. Caught at least a 100 bass today that averaged 2 to 4 pounds. Once again white and chartruse humdingers did most of the damage with a few caught on lizards. Thanks again guys for a fishing trip I will never Forget! Good Luck Fishin'!

Capt. Ryan Young 01-07-2010 7:27:20 PM CST Joining me this afternoon were Jeff Brown from Denham Springs and his uncle Les Brown from Gresham, Oregon. Our first stop had the reds coming in the boat every other cast for a solid hour. All fish ranged from 18 - 25 inches. Decided to leave the reds biting to search for some trout. Worked an area that has been producing some big numbers recently but could not buy a bite. The trout may turn off when the temps drop, but the reds sure do get active. All fish were caught on Tsunami Swim Shads. Thanks guys for a great afternoon and looking forward to your return in a few weeks. If you're looking for a good redfish trip, now's the time. Good Luck Fishin'!

Capt. Ryan Young 12-28-2009 8:58:53 PM CST Incredible Trout Action 12-28-09
Left the launch at 1:00pm with good friend Gavin Maxwell. Wasn't expecting much with cool temps and high winds. But one stop was all it took to reach our 50 fish in less than 30 minutes. Played catch and release on another 50 fish using everything in the box. It did not matter what you threw, it was non-stop action from start to finish. All fish were caught tight line, no retrieve, just throw it out and let the current do the work. All fish ranged from 16 - 18 inches. It does not get any better than this! If you want to book a trip, now's the time. Good Luck Fishin'!

Helped out Capt. Bill Lake today with his crew from Tennesse. Once again, the trout are safe as the stiff winds have been blowing in day after day!! But that did not stop us from having a good time as we caught a few reds and played catch and release with some bigger drum. Can't wait for the wind to stop so we can get back to our normal routine. All fish caught on cracked crab. Once again. All and all, had a great day with great company. Good Luck Fishin'.

Capt. Ryan Young 08-02-2009 6:02:03 PM CST Big Time Fun 7-30-09
Joining me today was Peg and Brian Funkhouser and Chuck and Sue Kinney. These two couples where down from Pennsylvania to see what Dularge is all about. Once arriving at the dock, I noticed strong winds that would not allow us to trout fish. So decided to grab a couple dozen crabs for safety. Made several stops in the duck ponds to find mudy water and no fish. Soo off to the honey hole with the crabs and it was redfish on for several hours with non stop tripple and double hook ups. It's been a long time since I fished cracked crab and I have to say, we all had a Great Time! Would like to thank my crew for a great day on the water. Good Luck Fishin'.
